Mechanical property and application of materials and structures with negative poisson's ratio

This paper reviewsthe development of research works in materials and structures withnegative Poisson's ratio, including studies on auxetic behaviorsand mechanical properties of natural and man-made materials andstructures with negative Poisson's ratio, as well as theirmanufacturing methods and potential applications. Perspective isalso suggested for future development of research and applicationof materials and structures with negative Poisson's ratio.
