A LOYAL HEART TO MAKE A NAME IN HISTORY—YUNG-HUAI KUO IN 1968

Mr. Yung-huai Kuo was the only one, among the 23 winners of the “Two Bombs and One Satellite Meritorious Medal”, who contributed significantly in all the three achievements and died for the motherland. His patriotism and selfless dedication to the country has been motivating generations of the Chinese people. This article reviews his life in 1968 in detail as much as possible, so as to reveals his deep love to the family and friends, his dedication to the cause of national defense and devotion to the country. It also narrates the aircraft crash that incurred his death and analyzes the cause of the crash.
