ANALYSIS OF DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF FORCED VAN DER POL EQUATION WITH IHB METHOD
Abstract
An IHB computation scheme of the periodic solutions of theforced Van der Pol equation is derived, with its frequency amplituderesponse property being analyzed by a tracing and parametriccontinuation procedure. The numerical simulation of the steady limitcycle by the IHB method is compared with Runge-Kutta method, which showsthat the IHB method is an effective way of analyzing both weak andstrong nonlinear problems in engineering practice.
