ANALYSIS OF DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF FORCED VAN DER POL EQUATION WITH IHB METHOD

  • An IHB computation scheme of the periodic solutions of theforced Van der Pol equation is derived, with its frequency amplituderesponse property being analyzed by a tracing and parametriccontinuation procedure. The numerical simulation of the steady limitcycle by the IHB method is compared with Runge-Kutta method, which showsthat the IHB method is an effective way of analyzing both weak andstrong nonlinear problems in engineering practice.
