EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF PASSIVE SCALAR DIFFUSION IN GRID TURBULENCE WITH CONTRACTION
Abstract
We use a contraction in the grid turbulence to get non-isotropic turbulence. We have studied the thermal mixing layer and thermal wake in the grid turbulence with a contraction. The experiment results show that the mixing layer and wake were compressed in the contraction section, then they were expanding continuously. Their profiles of the T, and have similarity in the experimental region.
