Abstract:The present paperpresents systemically the research work done by the author and hiscollaborators in the area of penetration/perforation of rigidprojectiles. It covers penetration/perforation of concrete target,dimensionless numbers dominant in pentetration, theoretical modelsfor the perforation of metallic plates, structural analysis ofdeep penetration projectiles and destruction and failure ofprojectiles. The latest advances in the area ofpenetration/perforation of rigid projectile are also reviewed inthis paper.
